Regular Monthly Meeting
August 17, 2021
Meeting called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Mayor Guenard.
Roll Call: Saari-present, Cummings-present, Traczyk-present, Thomas-present.
It was verified by the Clerk that the Agenda had been properly posted.
Motion by Thomas, supported by Cummings to approve the Agenda as written. Motion Carried. All Ayes.
Motion by Saari, supported by Traczyk to approve the Minutes for the Regular Monthly Meeting of July 13, 2021. Motion Carried. All Ayes.
Motion by Thomas supported by Saari to approve the Financial Statement for June and Checks Written for July 2021. Motion Carried. All Ayes.
Prepare And Plan For The Use Of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA – Local Fiscal Recovery Funds –The City will receive a total of $78,815.42 in two installments. Discussion took place regarding eligible uses for the funds and the deadline. The City will have a committee meeting to discuss water-sewer infrastructure and other eligible uses of the ARPPA funds. The committee meeting will be on August 24, 2021, at 5:30 PM.
Approve Authorization To Seek Bids From Engineering Company For Transportation Utility Fee Study- MSA submitted a quote for the project for $18,000. The council would like to get quotes from other companies to compare. Guenard will work on an RFP for the Transportation Utility Study. The council would also like to focus on the CDBG and plan on sending out income surveys to all residents.
Approve Sale From Sealed Bid Of Fire Department Pickup truck - The Fire Dept. received six sealed bids for the pick-up truck. The highest bid was from Paul DeRosso for $3610.00. Motion by Thomas, supported by Traczyk to accept the bid. Motion carried. All Ayes.
Foreman Report- The main water line in Gile was repaired. The road will be repaired by Angelo Luppino. Water meter replacement letters have been mailed and 25 meters have been repaired or replaced. The FEMA project will be completed next week on Washington Ave.
Public Comment- Comments and discussions took place regarding the radio communication survey, road repair, resident sewer back up, blight, historic district, setting up a foundation for the City, and restrooms at the Gile Park.
