Regular Monthly Meeting
July 13, 2021
Meeting called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Mayor Guenard.
Roll Call: Saari-present/late, Cummings-present, Traczyk-present, Thomas-present.
It was verified by the Clerk that the Agenda had been properly posted.
Motion by Traczyk, supported by Thomas to approve the Agenda as written. Motion Carried. All Ayes.
Motion by Thomas, supported by Traczyk to approve the Minutes for the Regular Monthly Meeting of May 11, 2021. Motion Carried. All Ayes.
Motion by Cummings supported by Traczyk to approve the Financial Statement for June and Checks Written for July 2021. Motion Carried. All Ayes.
Discussion and Action on Election Machine – Motion by Thomas, supported by Traczyk to purchase the Edge Replacement Touch Screen Tabulator for $3849.00. Motion carried. All Ayes.
Review and Adopt the Resolution Regarding Exchange Real Estate between the City of Montreal and a Montreal resident– Motion by Thomas supported by Saari to adopt the Resolution Regarding Exchange of Real Estate. Motion carried. All Ayes.
Discussion on Infrastructure- There is a water break on Oshkosh Ave. in Gile and Ross Peterson has been contacted. The work to repair the main water line and the road is scheduled to begin Monday, July 19, 2021. A road inspection meeting will need to be scheduled.
Discussion on Street Committee Meeting – Traczyk researched the grant TROUTES - Funding will be used to repair roads designated as ATV or UTV trails.
Discuss and Action on Public Meeting Dates for Transportation Utility Fee - Mayor Guenard discussed and explained the aspects of the transportation utility fee. The transportation utility fee funds can only be used to repair and/or replace roads, streets, and sidewalks. The City will have another committee meeting to discuss the next steps in the transportation utility fee. The Street Committee meeting will be Monday, July 26 at 5:30 PM.
Foreman Report- None
Public Comment- Comments and discussions took place regarding the transportation utility fee, road repair, resident sewer back up, ATV speed limit, and garbage at the Gile Park.
Councilmember Comment-Thomas-There are14 junk vehicles behind the GIFA center. Sealed bids for the old fire utility truck are being accepted until Aug 3, 2021 at 1:00 PM.

Roll Call Vote to go into Closed Session Pursuant to Section 19.85 (1) (c) to consider employment, promotion, compensation, or performance evaluation data of any public employee which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercise responsibility. Roll Call Vote to go back into Open Session. Saari-yes, Cummings-yes, Traczyk-yes, Thomas-Yes. No action was taken.
Motion by Thomas supported by Cummings to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried. All Ayes.
